The Farchioni family has been cultivating their lands in Umbria for seven generations. With the expertise of Master Brewers, they have created beers using specialty malts, wheat & grains from Umbria. Their motto is from the words of Pompey Farchioni: “We want to create unique and sophisticated craft beers, integrated in a logical chain of agricultural land in Umbro. TASTING NOTES: This artisanal blonde ale is crafted according to the Cotta 21 recipe from a selection of the best Italian farro (spelt) & the finest malts. It is golden & cloudy, with a thinck lingering head. It has a rich aroma with hints of lemon blossom & summer fruit & spicy undertones. The delicate smooth flavor of the spelt is accompanied by herbaceous notes from the hops which master brewers have expertly selected.
TASTING NOTES: This artisanal red ale is crafted according to the Cotta 37 recipe using the time honored, top fermentation technique with wild chickpeas. Roasted specialty malts result in its characteristic deep, naturally cloudy copper hue. The ale’s captivating aroma is dominated by the complexity of the noble hops that evovle into elegant notes of caramel & orange peel. Its body is smooth & its flavor balanced.
The artisanal stout, brewed according to the Cotta 74 recipe, draws its inspiration from Abbey beers, uniting tradition with innovation. Distinguished by the use of Italian lentils & the expert selection of toasted & roasted malts, it has a bold, original character. In appearance, the stout is a deep brown with a thin, dense head. The aromas of caramel & ripe fruit bring out the full balanced body, while warm notes of dark chocolate & a complex aftertaste make it elegant & lingering.
